Celine Rosalie Zoppe has a profound curiosity for risk and a passion for truth. Born in Cologne, Germany, she is of Italian, Czech, German, and Romanian descent after her maternal grandfather. Her mother, Viola Zoppe, was born in Prague and is a renowned ballet dancer and acrobat. Her father, Guenter Zapke, is of German descent and a real estate agent.
Celine was inspired at an early age watching her mother perform. First on stage at 3 years old, her passion for the arts extended through vocal and piano training at the Catholic choir school in Cologne, Germany. She was a state champion gymnast at 14 years old. After an accident injuring her spine, she insisted her mother tape her waist to help her perform in Nationals. The injury was a turning point to focus solely on acting. She attended The Oxford School of Drama in the UK, then finished her Associate's at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (Gena Rowlands, John Cassavetes, Spencer Tracy) in Los Angeles. She was then accepted into the Academy's prestigious Theatre Company.
She is best known for Hommage à l'amour (2020), which received Best Feature Film in the CATE Film Festival in 2021.
She is also known for Love is not Love (2020), which triumphed on the festival circuit and exhibited a wide appeal, screening in 112 festivals in 22 countries, winning 126 awards across all categories, and garnering 39 nominations in 2021.
She was nominated in the category of Best Ensemble, Best New Play and Best Play by The Broadway World Los Angeles Awards 2022 for the lead role of Rose Chandler in an original play called Try Not To Think About It, Alice Childress.
