Exclusive: Under the radar rom-com 40 Dates and 40 Nights has wrapped production in Houston, with cast including Bailee Madison (Pretty Little Liars), Joel Courtney (The Kissing Booth), Annie Potts (Ghostbusters), Jai Rodriguez (Bros) and Luxy Banner (The Get Together).

The story revolves around Leah Jones (Madison), who is navigating the challenges of dating. Gigi (Potts), her grandmother, bets her a full year’s rent if she can prove love isn’t out there after 40 consecutive dates.

Andy Delaney directs from a script inspired by true events from Sarah “Howie” Howard. Vance Howard is executive producer for Lucky Number 8 Productions. The film is a co-production between Lucky Number 8 and Rebellium Films (Cottonmouth), produced by Randy Wayne and Madison, with co-producers Sandler Weinberg and Sarah Howard.

Exclusive: Netflix’s hit action-adventure YA series Outer Banks is set to end with its upcoming fifth season. But that may not be the end of the Pogues.

“We are excited for Season 5, and we’re excited for other stories in this universe down the line,” series’ co-creators/executive producers co-creators and executive producers Jonas Pate, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke said during an interview with Deadline tied for the release of Season 4 Part 2.

They would not elaborate but indicated that ideas for potential spinoff series and other Obx universe offshoots are being explored. According to sources, no projects are currently in the works but it is logical for Netflix to attempt to extend one of its top series — something it has already done with shows like Stranger Things and Bridgerton and is exploring with Virgin River.

Pogues and Kooks will clash once more in the latest season of Netflix’s Outer Banks, which will arrive on this fall in two parts. Part 2 is on the horizon with a launch date of Nov. 7.

Netflix has renewed the fan-favorite drama Outer Banks for a fifth and final season, ahead of its Season 4 Part 2 premiere on November 7. The news comes two days after the second Poguelandia: An Outer Banks Experience, held November 2 at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

Writing for the final season is currently underway. Season 5 details and additional information will be shared at a later time by the streaming service.

Outer Banks Season 4 Part 1 debuted at #1 on Netflix’s global top 10 English TV chart following its release on October 10 and has remained in the top ten for three weeks, reaching the top 10 in 74 countries, leading up to the release of Part 2 on November 7. Netflix announced today that Outer Banks Season 4 will debut in two 5-episode parts. Part 1 will premiere on October 10, 2024, and will be followed by Part 2 on November 7. As part of the announcement, Netflix has released the teaser, key art, and photos for the fourth season.

Following last season’s 18-month flash-forward showing Wes Genrette’s proposal for the Pogues to find Blackbeard’s treasure, Season 4 takes us back in time to the lead-up of that moment.

After finding the gold at El Dorado, the Pogues return to the Obx and commit to having a “normal” life. They’ve built themselves a new safe haven, officially dubbed “Poguelandia 2.0,” where they live together and run a fairly successful bait, tackle, and charter tour shop.

But after some financial setbacks, John B, Sarah, Kiara, JJ, Pope, and Cleo take Wes up on his offer, drawn back into the “G” game for a whole new adventure.

“Outer Banks” is about to embark on its biggest adventure to date: finding Blackbeard’s treasure. And Netflix has shared a first teaser and several first look images to celebrate the occasion.

The fourth season of the Netflix original will premiere its first five episodes on Oct. 10 followed by five more episodes on Nov. 7.

Season 3 ended with a flash-forward 18 months into the future that showed the Pogues being commended for finding El Dorado, the lost city of gold. In that season’s final moments, a man approached the friends and asked them if they would be interested in finding the lost treasure of Edward Teach, aka Blackbeard. Director Samuel Gonzalez Jr. (The Retaliators) is paying tribute to the slashers of the 1980s with Stiletto, and Bloody Disgusting has scored some more exclusive imagery this week.

In the upcoming horror movie, “A year after the grisly murder of a local exotic dancer, the victim’s sister, Lyric [Gigi Gustin], searches for the serial killer responsible as he stalks and kills his favorite dancers on the night of the anniversary.”

We told you earlier this year about Stiletto, an upcoming horror movie from director Samuel Gonzalez Jr. (The Retaliators) that’s being described as a throwback to the early slashers of the 1980s. We now have an exclusive first look at the film’s villain, “The Stiletto Killer.”

The killer’s mask was created by Jason Baker, famous for designing the mask that Ethan Hawke wore in The Black Phone, and owner of Callosum FX Studios, which is the creative brainchild of legendary special effects master Tom Savini and renowned artist and effects creator Jason Baker himself.

Baker tells Bloody Disgusting in a statement, “Creating the killer’s mask for Samuel Gonzalez Jr. & Gigi Gustin on Stiletto was an absolute blast. I personally drew so much inspiration from the script. The film is a morbidly beautiful mixture of beauty and carnage. And that was the mindset we used in the design.

Outer Banks is returning later this year for its fourth season on Netflix, and viewers will see new faces in the cast. J. Anthony Crane, Pollyanna McIntosh, Brianna Brown, Rigo Sanchez, and Mia Challis will recur in the upcoming season.

Season 4 of Netflix’s Outer Banks has some new cast members.

Pollyanna McIntosh, J. Anthony Crane, Brianna Brown, Rigo Sanchez and Mia Challis have joined the cast of the show, which has been a breakout show for Netflix over its past three seasons.

Created by Jonas Pate, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke, Outer Banks is a coming-of-age story that follows a tight-knit group of local teens — the “Pogues” — in the beach vacation destination of the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Crane (Dead Ringers, Billions) will play Chandler Groff, a man darkly grief-stricken over the loss of his wife, who is welcoming to the Pogues on their latest adventure. McIntosh (The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, Double Blind) will Dalia, a revolutionary-like leader and worldly baddie on a plunder who comes face to face with the Pogues.

“Outer Banks” Season 4 has added five new cast members, Variety has learned.

J. Anthony Crane, Pollyanna McIntosh, Brianna Brown, Rigo Sanchez, and Mia Challis have all joined the popular adventure drama series in recurring guest star roles.

The official description for the series states, “‘Outer Banks’ is a coming of age story that follows the tight-knit group of Pogues as they navigate a chain of illicit events filled with mystery, adventure, a high-stakes treasure hunt and the escalating conflict with their rivals.”

“Outer Banks” originally debuted in 2020 and proved to be a major hit for Netflix. Per the streamer, Season 3 of the series spent six weeks on the global Top 10 English TV list and reached the Top 10 charts in 77 countries.

We told you earlier this week about Stiletto, an upcoming horror movie from director Samuel Gonzalez Jr. (The Retaliators) that’s being described as a throwback to the early slashers of the 1980s. Bloody Disgusting has now exclusively learned that makeup effects legend Tom Savini and his creative partner Jason Baker designed the killer’s mask for the film!

The duo most recently designed the mask for Ethan Hawke’s sinister “The Grabber” in box office hit The Black Phone, which is getting a sequel from Blumhouse in Summer 2025.

Baker tells Bloody Disgusting in a statement, “Creating the killer’s mask for Samuel Gonzalez Jr. & Gigi Gustin on Stiletto was an absolute blast. I personally drew so much inspiration from the script. The film is a morbidly beautiful mixture of beauty and carnage. And that was the mindset we used in the design. Something elegant and terrifying at the same time.

Aew wrestler Stephon ‘Swerve’ Strickland has been cast in the slasher movie Stiletto, Deadline reports. Written and directed by Samuel Gonzalez Jr. (The Retaliators), the film is expected to go into production sometime within the next couple weeks.

Coming our way from Hearse Productions, Stiletto is set to star Gigi Gustin, whose credits include That’s a Wrap and the upcoming The Texas Chainsaw Massacre / The Hills Have Eyes homage Brute ’76.
