- Actress
Catherine (Kate) MacLellan is a Canadian actor, born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. She is best known for her work on the multi-award-winning film United States v Billie Holiday (Hulu).
Throughout her childhood and teenage years, Kate trained in ballet and jazz, but acting was never on her radar. She grew up to work as an Administrative Assistant and then as a Birth and Postpartum Doula. It was later, when her daughter began being offered acting opportunities, that her own spark for the craft was ignited. Kate accompanied her daughter on countless auditions and after a few years of learning the ins and outs of the industry she began to develop an interest in training as an actor as well. Since then she has been working on screen in film and television, and can also be seen in many commercials. Notable on-screen credits include Freeform's The Bold Type and Lifetime movie Ice Hotel Holiday.
Kate actively continues to train at Tasha Smith Actors Workshop.
