Polina Herman is an LA-based Ukrainian producer and the founder of UP UA Studio, which she established in 2016. She graduated from Kyiv National Theater, Cinema, and Television University, I. Karpenko-Kary in 2013 with a degree in the Organization of Cinema and Television Production. Also she became a student of the UCLA School of Theater Film & Television, participating in the Summer 2023 UCLA Professional Program in Producing.
Prior to that, she studied marketing and advertising at the Kyiv Institute of Culture and the Arts and the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Following her graduation, Herman worked for several years in cinema production, marketing, and distribution, holding various positions, from the PR Director of Insight Media LLC, Executive Producer of LLC Tatofilm, Producer at the State Film Studio National Kinemateka of Ukraine to Producer of the Carpathian Mountain International Film Festival (Uzhgorod) in 2021. In 2016, Herman founded her company, UP UA Studio, which is engaged in film production, development, and advancement of Ukrainian cinema in Ukraine and abroad. In 2022, her film Price of Conflict participated in the 38th IDA Documentary Awards in the ABC News VideoSource nomination.
In 2022, Polina Herman came to Los Angeles as a war refugee, where she organized the Days of Ukrainian Cinema with the support of the American Cinematheque.

Polina Herman is a member of the Ukrainian Cinema Academy and the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine, Film Independent, European Psychodrama Association (PAfE), Institute of Psychodrama, Modern Psychology, and Psychotherapy, member of International Documentary Association, student of UCLA School of Theater Film & Television of the Summer 2023 UCLA Professional Program in Producing.
