Before fully committing to the world of acting, Fidel spent seven years as a rising baseball player in the Baseball Farm League, advancing through the ranks of Class A and Double A in the minor leagues. The discipline and teamwork from his sports training have deeply influenced his artistic endeavors.
For the past 18 years, he has been a teaching artist, mentor, and coach in New York City, guiding students in the dramatic arts, drama therapy, role-playing, improvisation, and creative writing. He has had the honor of working with at-risk youth in Carson, CA, and NYC public schools partnering with organizations like East LA Classic Theatre Group, Pop Fit Kids, YMCA, HipHop 4 Life, ENACT Inc, Fit-4-Life Kids, and The Leadership Program.
His daily fitness work includes working with seniors, teaching Tai Chi, seated yoga, and fitness. Art is his bridge to the world-allowing him to inspire, teach, and connect with others. His greatest fulfillment comes from nurturing the next generation and learning from everyone he encounters.
