She was the first woman to open a professional boxing training office on the floor of Gleason's Gym, a professional boxing gym on the waterfront of Brooklyn, NY, in 1988. Articles about her work as a boxing for appeared in Glamour (1989), Vogue (1990), Sports Illustrated (1990), Self and other magazines. She appeared on Good Morning America, Mtv, Home among other appearances for her work in boxing for fitness.
