Cecilia Ibáñez

Cecilia Ibáñez is an Uruguayan director, screenwriter and audiovisual producer based in Spain. She holds a PhD in History from the Complutense University of Madrid. There she began her studies in film directing with Pilar Miró and Fernando Colomo, directing actors with Fernando Trueba and editing with Pablo del Amo. Studied screenwriting with screenwriter Lola Salvador Maldonado, with director Pilar Miró and with Eliseo Altunaga "Guru of Screenwriters" at the San Antonio de Baños Film School. She created her production company Producciones Imaginarias RCI, dedicating most of her work to social, historical and archaeological themes and to making inequalities visible. Over the years, he has produced several audiovisual works in fiction, documentaries, advertising and television programs.
