Evgeni Budinov is a child from the second marriage of a Bulgarian designer and a fire brigade colonel. Upon his birth in 1981, his parents were already quite advanced in years - his father was 50, and his mother was 37.
From his parents' previous marriages, he has two brothers and a sister.
He left home when he was only 17 and shared rent of some attics in the center of Sofia with Deyan Donkov and other prominent Bulgarian directors and musicians most of whom are still dear friends of his. At that time he worked as a barman, waiter, security guard, ice cream seller, builder, and whatnot. Since 2005 he has been acting professionally at the theater, television, and movies.
