Kanarose Oonhateparuk is a graduate of the prestigious Chapman University, with a Masters in Fine Arts, Film & Television Producing and Management, and the 2007 Recipient of Meredith MacRae Memorial Scholarship from the Women in Film Foundation. Kanarose is the writer and director of "The Given," a scholarship recipient and featured short film at the Bangkok 2010 Film Expo Asia. She is also a successful Southern California businesswoman, having opened, run, and sold for a profit a popular ethnic restaurant (Kala Eatery) during that same time period in which she was pursuing her film goals. When asked to describe herself, Kanarose emphasizes that she will ACT to make a project succeed, because she is a passionate, friendly, organizer who enjoys helping technical and creative people work together.
