Sara is an Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker. She recently completed Open Wide, her first feature documentary with Muck Media and A24 about a father-son team of eccentric orthodontists. She has worked on series with subjects ranging from false confessions (The Confession Tapes; Netflix) to women's gymnastics (Defying Gravity; YouTube Originals), daily life inside a Georgia jail (First and Last; Netflix) and the mass shooting epidemic in the U.S. (Active Shooter: America Under Fire; Showtime).
She has also written and produced a number of independent documentary films, including Dr. Feelgood, the story of a pain doctor who went to prison for over-prescribing opioids. Sara grew up between Italy and Canada and speaks Italian, French, and Spanish.
