In The Legend of Ben Hall scene where Hall vomits from the pain of having a bullet extracted from his arm, Martin actually vomited during the filming of the scene. Not wanting to risk it looking fake, he took an ice bath to produce the body's 'shock' response, chain-smoked tobacco to induce nausea, and finally drank a curdled concoction of oats, milk and orange juice right before rolling the cameras to capture Hall really vomiting for the scene.
