Matichak starred in the horror sequel film Halloween (2018). She plays the role of Allyson Nelson, the daughter of Judy Greer's character Karen Nelson, and the granddaughter of Jamie Lee Curtis' Laurie Strode, whose character also starred in the 1978 original film.
The young actress to get the halloween audition recorded a small sequence of two pages, which she had to send to the studio. "Within weeks I got a call to schedule a Skype interview with David Gordon Green, everything was great and they gave me new scenes, very crazy and with many shouts, then I waited until I finally got it," the actress confessed to Collider.
