Noreen Quadir is a SAG-E actress and writer in film, television, theatre, commercials, print, voiceover, and audiobook narration.
Driven by a desire for a more just world, she loves telling stories that celebrate the diversity of the human experience and amplify underrepresented voices from a place of curiosity and joy.
She brings a mix of intelligence, quirky playfulness, and quiet strength to her characters, who tend to be soft-spoken with a bubbly resilience and a spark of sass.
Working with award-winning directors and producers (who tell socially impactful stories), she has starred in several films that were featured in festivals such as the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, Asian American International Film Festival, and Indie Short Fest. Additionally, she has worked in Off-Broadway and New York plays and award-winning films.
Her writing work includes screenplays that share underrepresented identities and stories, explore characters who are figuring themselves out and discovering new situations that help them grow, and blend drama with light-heartedness and humor. Her coming-of-age feature screenplay "Amoeba" was selected by the Burbank International Film Festival and became a Semifinalist in the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards Diversity Initiative, Santa Barbara International Screenplay Awards - Diverse Writers Outreach, and 1497 Features Lab. She has also written the children's picture book, titled "Bailey, the Rabbit."
Noreen received her BA degree in Theatre from Southern Connecticut State University and studied acting at the Circle in the Square Theatre, improv at the Magnet Theater, and voiceover at Edge Studio. She is trained in Stanislavski, Meisner, and Chekhov. She has also studied comedy with Scott Sedita.
