Carlos Vega is a Mexican-American actor and model in television, film, and theatre. Growing up just outside of Chicago, Carlos has always had an affinity for sports, music, and the arts. After studying The Harold at the original i.O. Theater, Carlos turned his love of performing into a chance audition on "American Idol."
Making his television debut, Carlos continued to hone his craft while gaining invaluable experience with background work on "The Dark Knight," "Boss," and "The Playboy Club." Those formidable experiences led to an opportunity to become a full-time stand-in on the first three seasons of "Chicago Fire," as well as the Netflix original series "Sense8." In 2016, Carlos earned his SAG eligibility when he performed as a flash mob dancer in an episode of "Empire."
Getting back to the stage in 2019, Carlos was cast as an understudy in the role of Tony Quintana, the charismatic night club owner and social organizer in Collaboraction & Teatro Vista's production of "La Havana Madrid." Directed by Cheryl Lynn Bruce, Sandra Delgado's critically acclaimed performance left an indelible mark on Carlos, and shortly after performing in Collaboraction Theatre's annual Peacebook Festival, he made the move to Los Angeles.
Since moving to L.A., he has trained at The Groundlings and The Andrew Wood Acting Studio, performed original works at The Electric Lodge, and is featured in Trevor Daniel & Julia Michaels' music video, "Fingers Crossed."
