Cristian Canova

Cristian Canova was born in Pavia, Italy. Cristian began acting at the age of eight and made his professional film debut at eighteen, playing the bully Omar Jr. in the horror-comedy The Last Heroes (2019). He went on to star in several short films, taking on significant roles such as Sem in the drama Latte (2019), the foreigner Francesco in Arancio parallelo (2019), and the drug dealer in Until the End (2017).
During his teenage years, Cristian attended the 'Teatro Fraschini' theatre school, and appeared in national and international commercials, as well as in the Italian theatre scene. He trained with and worked under celebrated directors such as Eugenio Barba, Romeo Castellucci, and Arturo Cirillo. Cristian also spent time at the renowned Drama Centre in London, further refining his craft.
In 2023 he played the role of Arlo in A Noite das Bruxas (2023), directed by Oscar winner Kenneth Branagh, and a year later, that of a US Soldier in Hey Joe (2024).
Son of a Dominican mother and an Italian father, Cristian grew up in a multicultural family. His upbringing, marked by extensive travel and exposure to diverse cultures, has provided him with a unique and international perspective that he proudly infuses into his work.
