Fernando Amador(I)

The director and screenwriter Fernando Amador is one of those artists that knows how to connect the worlds of music and cinema to satisfy his creative urges. Amador decided to take a step forward and become both an author and composer so he could fully give his life and soul to his work. The production of his first music video was a true revelation for Fernando. ¨As soon as we started recording, I realised that cinema offered me the possibility to relate social reality in a more explicit and deeper way than I could ever do with my songs.¨ Soon the film-maker took advantage of this new form of creativity to investigate the problem of domestic violence by adapting a new script for his first short film (Quién lo iba a decir) with a budget of, 1.500 euros. Fernando Amador understood in that moment that linking music with cinema would not limit him to choosing one art form over another. In fact, it allowed them to express themselves to the most of their creative potential.
