Still the King

I will be brief I am assuming that Billy Ray Cyrus is a pretty smart guy. He navigated Hanna Montana and what happened with Achy Breaky Heat appears to be in no way his navigation. As far as I know he did not write the song. Also though it might be a rumor here in Tennessee is is said that he was willing to give up his record contract if he could not record with the band he came to town with. There is a certain form of insanity that takes the form of musicians spending years slogging it out in road houses and honkytonks knowing on some level if a break ever comes they will be immediately replaced with Nashville Cats. This is a certainty if your lead singer is female. So I have to think it is very deliberate that Cyrus and crew are directly channeling Dukes of Hazard and various Burt Reynolds vehicles, so to speak. If I am wrong this show is idiotic but if I am right it is brilliant. I am hopeful so if I am correct and someone from the show reads this just give some screen time to a pair of Daisy Dukes and I will understand.
