Another brilliant production by the "man himself" Jeff Tremaine. I've had the WWE Network for many years now, but I've never really taken the time to watch any of the original shows besides Legends House and Ride Along, so binging WWE Swerved for the first time last night was quite a treat. While it's nowhere on the same level of crazy as Jackass, I have to say it's almost there, episodes like the New Day & Uso's working in a Hardware Store, the girls working in Hot Topic, or security guards not letting Seth Rollins & Ric Flair into the wrestling arena had me laughing out loud, and I was actually surprised at how good of actors some of the WWE Superstars are. It stinks that the last time they filmed any Swerved episodes was in 2016, so let's all hope since more people are being vaccinated for Covid19, and the WWE has now teamed with Peacock, that they'll start focusing on making new seasons of their original shows asap. I think I binged through every episode within a matter of 3 or 4 hours last night, and I was only left wanting more to the point where I had to pop in Jackass 3D before bed. The wrestling industry has always been notorious for it's stories of "ribbing" and pranks that all of the superstars play on each other while driving endless miles road, this show really showcases that and it's only a natural fit that their lives would fit perfectly into the Jackass TV show model. The episode where Vince McMahon himself goes into disguise was a real treat, good stuff!!
