Do Not Disturb

I enjoyed watching French actress Rebecca Lord on-screen in the '90s, and she has more recently emerged as a good director. "Do Not Disturb" does not represent her best work, but is easy to watch (verging on generic) non-narrative porn.

Anissa Kate is the draw here, taking the DVD cover shot and duly advertised with her various (and meaningless) industry awards. Premise for the five vignettes is a cutesy throwback almost to nudie-cutie days, as each gal, nude, smiles at the camera as she hangs the little "Do Not Disturb" card on the (presumably) hotel room doorknob.

But the five vignettes have nothing to do with hotels but are just random porn. The footage was shot in Hungary and the Czech Republic with attractive Eastern European girls on view, with other big names Carla Cox and Tiffany Doll in attendance. One of the segments stresses big-dick anal action for a very slim and underage looking model -perfectly legal but clearly Lord's pandering to the pederast wing of the party. For my money, a program of big-bust girls, the familiar Italian "mamma" standard of beauty, is far superior to that sort of cradle-robbing pornography.

Brief semblances of pantomimed story lines or contexts are thrown in and when a minimal amount of muttering occurs it is in English. Hopefully next time out Lord will sit down and write a screenplay and direct a good, old narrative movie.

NOTE: As with many, many other recent DVDs, the credits are messed up a bit, with Taylor Sands advertised on the front cover of the video but not listed on screen nor appearing in the show - perhaps she was shot for a 6th vignette that was dropped during the final editing.
