Paathi: the Half

Paathi (The Half) is a bold film and takes on several topics at once. Maybe that's why it falters in the middle and goes haywire to finish itself off after giving a sneak peek into the life of an indigenous healer (Indrans) who has altruism in mind but his concoctions end up affecting the consumer and their kin in a very negative way, ultimately having a collective impact on his own life. The art influence confused me and so did the relation of the title of the movie with the plot but overall it did make me think about death, healing, and abortion. Should be considered by drama enthusiasts. TN.
