Little Chrysia is chosen as the household's new maid because she is sufficiently hideous that she won't tempt the man of the house. She is also thoroughly inept, which is just the sort of thing that amuses audiences. When a new portrait of the master is delivered, she falls in love with it and, presumably, its model, with suitably disastrous results.
Little is known of Little Chrysia except that she made a bunch of shorts in France as Cunegonde, then made a bunch of shorts just like the others in England, only as "Arabella." She also seems to have lived in England before and after making the French shorts. I apologize for the paucity of information.
