It is really sad that some wonderful little films are overlooked and this is one of them. It's one of the best Italian adventure films I have ever seen. It's done with a touch of humor with good swordplay thrown in for good measure. I saw it years ago on TV and it was the English-dubbed version. I'm not sure if it ever played on the theaters in the U.S. Set in the 1600's Europe, it's about two warring families who decide to end their differences by having two of their offspring's marry. However, a pretty, tomboyish girl, played by an Italian actress named Anna Maria Ferrero, is herself in love with the groom and does every thing she can to break up the arranged marriage. Without spoiling anything, I will say this movie leaves you with a good feeling. Ms Ferrero is a girl that any red-blooded man would want to take into their arms and love and protect. Sadly this movie is hard to find on video. However, you can get a copy of it from atlasvisuals.com But it is in Italian only and no subtitles. Hopefully, the English-dubbed version will be found.
