The Drew Carey Show

During filming the series, Ryan Stiles introduced Drew Carey to the British show Whose Line Is It Anyway? (1988). Carey was so impressed that he pitched an American remake of it to the ABC TV network. ABC greenlit it, and Whose Line Is It Anyway? (1998) was created.

During the Cleveland Rocks intro started in Season 3 when Oswald throws the girl to the side, as if throwing her away, the arm of the catcher can be seen on the left of the screen.

The episode "Two Drews and the Queen of Poland Walk Into a Bar" was deemed offensive to Polish people due to its storyline where Mimi prepares to meet the king of Poland. The syndicated version of this episode cuts Mimi's storyline entirely and reuses an intro from an older episode to fit the time missing.
