This is powerhouse pornography that was produced with great care, skill and technical polish.
Director Warren Evans helmed a number of excellent X-rated productions that always looked like real films.
The opening shower scene borrows heavily from De Palma's DRESSED TO KILL as a woman (Sharon Mitchell) is sexually accosted in a shower.
Though her shower encounter turns out to be just one of Ms. Mitchell's "hot dreams", it is never less than highly erotic and erection-inducing.
The film serves up the fantasies of a conservative woman whose husband is a little boring.
A lesbian encounter with several women at a public pool is incredibly erotic, as is a pre-phone sex phone sex encounter.
But the film's capper is a small orgy on a pleasure craft in New York Harbor that uses a hypnotic Mike Oldfield track as backing. This sequence, where we see members of the public looking on from passing vessels, is truly superb and is a textbook example of how to film, direct and cut adult material.
Warrens was a highly skilled director and his semi-impromptu shooting style pays huge dividends in every scene.
Director of Photography Arthur Ben delivers beautiful images and lights many of the set-ups with enormous skill.
I really love this movie.
It's one of the best ever and largely ignored by most X-rated critics.
