House of the Rising Sun

Was mightily annoyed watching this dreadful VHS feature, truly an audience insult. It makes no sense, likely on purpose, and brings into question the quality of the work of overrated scripter Rodger Jacobs (a/k/a Martin Brimmer).

Terry Thomas gives a lousy performance, literally walking through his role as a smug thief, whose dumb dialogue is stupid and repetitive -a truly repellant character. Apparently the movie is built around interracial sex with Oriental actresses, but none of their roles make sense eiher. At times it seems that Terry is visiting ex-girl friends but that's never made clear, and the scenes are so haphazardly assembled that it plays like an unfinished movie. Topping it off is one of the crummiest endings I've seen in a long time.

Peter North shows up in a stupid role and manages to mis-aim his standard copious cum shot, right in Isis Nile's eye. The other actresses give lethargic performances. And the title, from the Animals hit song, is randomly chosen, unrelated to the actual movie.
