Avoid this movie

It opens with the Japanese police searching for a Chinese man. The police are played as both threatening and incompetent (which doesn't work). After the opening credits they arrest their man. He is executed by firing squad. The wife is going mad from grief and the son gets caught picking a pocket.

The "dumb" in this movie refers to unable to speak. It could also have the other meaning in reference to the entire movie. The first fight is at about 26 minutes and it is poor in every way.

My copy is a computer file that came from and Ocean Shores VHS. The picture is typical of VHS format with cropping on both sides. The dialog is dubbed in English.

I am a hard core fan of martial arts movies of the golden age from 1967 to 1984. I have watched about 3000 of these movies. This genre has a reputation for having some really bad movies. This movie alone could taint the entire genre. I can only recommend total avoidance of this movie to other fans.
