Summerslam

In a large sense, one's enjoyment of Summerslam 2000 will largely be determined by their interpretation of WWE's Attitude Era. Do you like extreme objectification of women, too many crotch shots to count, and the main plot of an entire show dedicated to infidelity? Then you'll probably dig this PPV. If not? Not much else to get excited about here.

I'm not trying to be a prude either. I just simply believe that such crude antics were the company's way of covering up a lack of overall in-ring talent.

Some further thoughts on Summerslam '00:

-The only match I truly enjoyed was Edge/Christian vs. The Dudleys vs. The Hardy Boyz in a TLC showdown. The stunts they do with the various "ring wreckage" are truly incredible.

-Kane vs. Undertaker seems like it should be better than it is, but feels like re-treading old ground.

-Shane McMahon falling from the light fixture is probably the iconic image from this event. Quite a bump, to be sure.

-The Rock/Angle/HHH finale is pretty entertaining/solid despite being built on such a ridiculous and hokey premise.
