The film Chirikkudukka, directed by T. S. Saji, is a romantic comedy. While the film has a promising premise and employs humor throughout, its narrative arc lacks cohesion.
Despite the presence of comedic elements, the film struggles to establish a meaningful connection with the audience in certain scenes. Overall, the film falls short of expectations and does not warrant a recommendation. If other options are available, this film should be avoided.
Hari is employed as a marketing manager at a showroom. He encounters Sunitha by chance and subsequently decides to marry her. In discussions about marriage, Sunitha's father requests that Hari arrange marriages for his other three daughters. Then, the film depicts Hari attempting to find grooms for each of them. He is successful in his endeavour and all are prepared for marriage.
When he began experiencing a persistent headache, he opted to seek medical attention. He became the victim of a deception perpetrated by the doctor and Nandan, who had a desire to marry Sunitha. They manipulated him into believing that he was dying due to a serious illness.
Subsequently, Hari desired to renounce the marriage. He feigned rascality in front of Sunitha and her family.
Later, he became aware of the deceit perpetrated by the doctor and Nandan, which resulted in a dramatic turn of events.
The performance of Koottickal Jayachandran as the protagonist was mediocre. The acting of Jagadish and Cochin Haneefa was amusing in certain scenes, yet the overall comedic elements of the film were underdeveloped. The musical score was commendable.
