The very start of film reveals that this is not the taping of an "ordinary" beauty pageant, but one in which all 30 gorgeous contestants are professional female impersonators! In fact, several are well-known in their own rights, such as Michael Andrews, Naomi Simms, and Roxanne Russell. Apart from this fact, it does not differ from any other beauty pageant with the evening gown, casual wear, and talent competitions.
The pageant agenda is kept rolling by two surprising celebrities, Ruth Buzzi (Laugh-In) and Lyle Waggoner (Carol Burnett Show). They do a fine job even though Lyle is noticably tongue-tied at times when complimenting the "ladies".
Overall, I found it entertaining and interesting due to the knowledge that the contestants were in fact, men. You will realize how amazing the transformations are when snippets of the male interviews are shown for the 10 finalists... very amazing indeed!
If you like beauty pageants and/or female impersonators, then you will find this worth seeing. I give it a "7" out of "10".
