"Abraxas" feature film by renowned director indie Bergamo and which engages so many years in so-called film genre, once again living with his typical passion and expertise that distinguishes it, the ancient glories of cinema that was, that the Italian cinema that was produced at the turn of the sixties, seventies and eighties. First to try my hand in the vision of this film some friends and fans Fratter, I have recommended, he considered the worst of the director, so poorly managed, to avoid like the plague. Fortunately, each of us has his own individual predisposition to a certain type of cinema, which did not prevent me not only to view it, but also to appreciate it, earning my half past seven full. First before exposing my opinion it must be said that the film is actually trash, indeed deliberately trash ... a b-movie then? Or maybe a z-movie? Actually I do not know .... One thing is certain: as the previous two films (Sete by Vampira and Anabolyzer of which there are some calls,) is an atypical film, or rather unclassifiable and presenting many elements or rather many ingredients ... obviously without betraying the aforementioned location " trash ", in fact just the beginning of the film director himself emphasizes this definition with these words: "..." There is no trash as a genre film ... there is a particular and casual way to make the film very much in vogue in the past ... naive and fascinating at the same time. I wanted to pay homage to that very way of making films .... " Well, having ascertained clearly what the viewer will face in case of vision, that's what I think of this film: The film while not presenting a plot by Oscar, is still practical and functional, exploring fairly decent the mysterious and shady undergrowth of the adepts of satanic masses and their dark religion devoted to evil. We have a group of three paranormal investigators (who work in a diligent with the police force) and with certain powers to the limit of "particular" and with the clear intention to eradicate all forms of supernatural evil (short stuff NOT of this world) , such as demons, ghosts, ghosts etc. ... in this case precisely their main mission is to put an end precisely to the aforementioned cruel and Mephistopheles satanic sect, and at the same time end the curse of which was hit their beautiful friend, Coralba, as well as medium and spiritual leader of the trio. The main actors are more or less the same as those seen in previous Fratter film, perhaps the viewer could snorting at seeing the same faces but personally I would not mind, and then I found them very well together, credible and in part and then ... well to see again one of his actresses fetish Irene Giordano the thing I greatly appreciated that in addition to good and especially pussy. The priestess of the cult ... beautiful but at the same time bad and evil. The male actors I liked, (however brief) the figure of the priest, who perfectly embodies her role and in an unexpected way and not be unconnected with the facts obvious. Indeed, precisely this figure will contribute greatly to the investigation. Carlo Girelli, however, remains the best of all, or at least for me. To signal the presence for the first time as an actor, the same Fratter the part of a killer, who in addition to having an itchy trigger finger, ventured to take a hand nonchalantly. presence of the director not only because it will appear in other films and with more consistent parts. Analyzing the gore part and special effects, (cured as was done previously by a competent Maurizio Quarta (the clerk, the viewer is absolutely not disappointed, to be an indie product, the effects are made with abundance, although unlike of Anabolyzer numerically are not many ... but at least they are very, very good. Beware of the scene in which the destruction of the sect and the death priestess to effect level heart is torn in a (beautiful) sacrificial victim ... really successful! no even joking ... .semplicemente a pleasure !!!! In the area of music instead he chose to Espying a reminder seventies ... .wow !!! according to my modest sounds and spot-on music and given the impersonated context adds a charm not indifferent to this film. Worthy of note the location, this time Fratter & co, they do everything away (in Tuscany precisely) and delights us to places very evocative, beautiful, and adhering to the narrative context is ... in short, to be a low budget film I must admit that the places of each appear cared for and sought after. Of note also that the whole story (apart from the terrifying maze where the sacrifices are performed by the sect) is told in broad daylight ... but not the story is not distressing and dark. This shows that not necessarily a given story must be set to sunset to recreate a certain pathos. The film still has some downtime and full of forcing, and apart from that certain scenes, I found questionable ... for example it appears that the killer deliberately take some time to kill and not to be killed. however, typical of Fratter film, in this case (or especially?) this Abraxas is not to be taken seriously, all that happens is deliberately unrealistic. So in conclusion dear movie lovers, if you do not like the kind forget it and then do not recommend it, but if you look for a far-fetched movie and did it on purpose "so", do not miss it because it deserves.
