Curiosidades
At one point during the game's development, lead level designer John Mulkey said to a fellow employee that he had seen a shadow in the restroom mirror. The employee agreed that the atmosphere in the room was "creepy", as there was a non-working light and one flickering one. John Mulkey insists that he saw something and, although no one seems to believe him, the restroom is hardly used anymore.

Erros de gravação
While the player's goal is to eliminate Paxton Fettel through the entirety of the game, it is very possible to kill him in the very first level. At one point during the first Interval/Stage, the player can activate Slow Mo and squeeze off several rounds of fire into Paxton before he knocks the Point Man out with a 2X4. However, none of the bullets register and the Point Man is predestined to be knocked out regardless of their actions.

Versões alternativas
The German version is heavily censored in order to get a USK-18 rating while also not get indexed or banned. Whenever enemies get killed in explosions or when they get shot in the face with a shotgun at point-blank range, they just disappear instead of bursting apart into bloody pieces. Also the blood splatters were reduced and enemies no longer scream when killed.

A Horror Classic!

I used to play Fear when I had the Xbox 360. In fact, I had the whole trilogy on console. Today I have a PC and the fps is amazing. But I didn't just play the game to experience the PC version, I play it because I love it! I play it because of its characters, its voice actors, its storyline, its soundtrack, its suspense, its horror and these are all what make Fear one of the best horror video game franchises ever made. Especially the story, because I feel like that's the most important thing when it comes to making a great, memorable piece.

I don't know if I wanna keep this too long, but if you really study the backstories of Alma Wade, Harlan Wade, Paxton Fettel and Point Man, then you'll be very engaged and interested in wanting to play the whole series. But for fans like me who have known about this franchise for 20 years, we can easily agree that this first one is the clear winner and still remains as a horror classic.
