Deniz Gezmis is a legend in Turkish history. People whether like or hate him may admire his courage, passion and determination. There are many movies start to focus on the dark face of Turkish history lately, which contains late 70's and early 80's. Deniz Gezmis obviously an important character in this time frame of Turkish history, this is not only what he represent with his utopia but it is also because how Turkish democracy is needed an education as a result of the trials. This time period was proved that his capital punishment was highly one sided and trial result was not fair. However, Hoscakal Yarin is a horrible movie. Celik claims that Hoscakal Yarin is based on a true event. If it is they were not very careful about time line of story, characters, what they stand for, etc. Story has many gaps. They jump from one time period to other without any explanation or footnote. It is very badly put in together. For instance, Deniz Gezmis was a collage student when they hang him. Berhan Simsek is way too old to be a collage student. In the movie any of three characters far beyond to represent the spirit of that political idea either. The scenario is very poorly written and directed. It does not give either terrifying events of that time or the enthusiasm of Gezmis and his friends. The technical quality of the movie is very bad too. It does not worth it to watch at all.
