Taiyô no kizu

It's impossible to take this film seriously or even enjoy it. The basic premise that there are psychopathic, murderous teenagers roaming the streets of Japan is utterly ridiculous, considering Japan is one of the safest countries on earth. But okay, let's ignore that and run with it. But then these criminal kids can apparently do their terrorizing without the authorities being able to, or interested in, doing something because they are underage. "You got victimized? Well, there is simply nothing that can be done, sorry." This is just pure emotional manipulation of the audience, provoking your sense of justice in order to get you mad. You just get mad at the filmmaker though, because it's done in such a stupid and dishonest way. If he at least made the main protagonist in a totally over the top way start mass killing children as revenge, it would at least have been a funny satire. But unfortunately the guy is a useless idiot too.
