"The Willing" is an actor-inspired project, shot with a minimal budget during two weeks in the desert of Palm Springs. With no formal script or knowledge of the full plot, the actors were encouraged to improvise, staying true to their characters in a raster of given scenes and following a basic story outline. The object was to loosen the traditionally rigid boundaries of film production by using very limited equipment and crew, while giving actors the maximum amount of freedom in exploring their characters.
