La Danubio

This movie was, more than charming, truthful. In a manner that might seem light, we can see Venezuelans' work ethic shine at its best. My nostalgia boomed as I heard the different dialects you might hear in Caracas throughout the film.

Some may believe that all is lost in my home country, some may only see it through the lens of geopolitics or tabloid media. Indeed, we have had it very hard. But that doesn't mean we can forget about day-today-life. In that sense, I think "La Danubio" is a great way to approach our reality closely, to see how we really are, and not just limit us to a people that suffers, but that doesn't get to show its ways.

Ten out of ten, without a doubt. I hope that many Venezuelans that have had to flee, see this movie and bawl in the most positive fashion. And I hope that many people interested in Venezuela, fall in love with my equals' reality and understand why we have to fight for it in a humane way.
