First cast in Spring 2020 under the working title 'Earwigger' as the Covid-19 pandemic hit the World, the script was too difficult to film under close contact. The original actors cast were instead utilised in Al Carretta's 16th film 'Set Roaring War' with most roles recast in Autumn 2021. Actors Sonny Barr, Stacey Pomeroy and Howard Morgan all carry over from the original casting framework into 'Killahurtz'.
