A Love Triangle

Nica Noelle added troilism (that's the technical term for a threesome, which I learned way back when from the comprehensive AFI Catalog of 1960s film releases) to her bag of tricks with A LOVE TRIANGLE, an unsuccessful 2010 video using mixed combo action as the hook. Porn label Sweet Sinner did not mount a followup until 2014.

Manuel Ferrara stars as the "odd man in" regarding the torrid love affair between two of Nica's favorites Misty Stone and Satine Phoenix, both with ample lesbian video credits under their belts. Rather thin storyline has them planning to move in together after we watch their sensual lovemaking, but Satine has second thoughts.

She calls DeLUXE for advice, the Black Fairy Godmother of Sweet Sinnerdom, and our jolly helper suggests she have one last no-strings hetero fling before making the big commitment to Sapphic all-but-wedded bliss.

Satine picks up Rocco Reed for the occasion, and they have a strong sex scene together. He's none too happy after his money shot when she announces the reason for the tryst, embellishing it with the fact that besides being a lesbian she has a crush on Misty's ex- husband Ferrara. Reed's parting shot: "Good luck with your 'Henry and June' situation" is apt and to the point, especially for film buffs.

Plot takes an odd twist at this point since Misty and Manuel have a reconciliation (in bed) despite Misty's expletive-laden denunciation of him. Satine arrives at her door and before you can say Jack Robinson, the three are in bed together for a torrid three-way.

Often Sweet Sinner's rigid formula of 4 sex scenes spread across a minimal cast list ends up in disappointing results like this one: its Misty & Satine followed by Satine/Rocco, Misty/Ferrara then Misty/Satine/Ferrara. With nary an extra or day player in sight this is claustrophobic and repetitive though obviously economical in budget terms. And here, even the presence of Rocco is completely extraneous to the main plot and theme. I, for one, would have enjoyed having Big Mama DeLuxe get down for once and get in the sex action instead of merely phoning in some exposition.

The lesbian theme is okay but the bisexual content here is weak -obviously had Noelle been audacious enough to include homosexual content, say a Misty/Ferrara/Rocco scene in which the guys had sex together that would have been an eye-opener. Besides the quality mixed combo action, in which contrast in skin tones helps, video does have some brief, recurring foot fetish material. Otherwise its departure from the standard Sweet Sinner one-on-one sex scenes is unimpressive.
