A fun short

Beats Per Mizu keeps things nice and simple throughout a breezy half-hour runtime. It's about a quirky and kind of strange (but still endearing) young girl who's obsessed with BPMs, and the way her life changes when she finds herself becoming similarly obsessed with a boy.

It could've crossed over into creepy, but I think it's all done in a way that never feels unsettling or too weird. There isn't a whole lot to it either - while I thought early on that it could almost be longer, as it went along, I realised that thought was premature, so its status as a short film was probably for the best.

Overall, it's pretty enjoyable, and a good way to kill half an hour.
