Nai is determined to eliminate humanity; will his brother, along with investigative journalists Meryl Stryfe and Roberto De Niro be able to prevent him?
I really enjoyed the original 'Trigun' so wasn't too sure what to expect here. It becomes clear from the start that this isn't attempting to be a remake. Things one doesn't learn until the closing episodes of 'Trigun' are made plain from the start here. At first I was a little disappointed with this but the more I watched the more I was pleased the makers took a different approach; if I wanted to watch the original story I could just dust off the DVDs and watch that again; far better to get a new take. This has a somewhat darker tone and less over-the-top characters. The animation and character designs are impressive, being obvious CGI it won't please everybody but I liked it... it was certainly infinitely better than that used in the 'Berserk' revival. The action scenes were very dynamic. Overall a solid space western.
