I have always been a fan of Hyeri since watching Reply 1988, but watching May I Help You I felt it was such a waste of her acting talent as they barely explored her character and emotions as someone who can communicate with ghosts. She just seems to be there for the male character, which is quite boring not to mention problematic.
This series is also sloppily edited, seems unable to figure out what it wants to do. The side stories are interesting but doesn't fit into the main premise and there are way too many flashbacks.
This drama would have worked much better if allowed the main character's background story to be slowly shown rather than thrown into choppy sequences with comedy randomly sprinkled in with exposition voice overs. I would have enjoyed experiencing her work day through each step and meeting the ghosts. Rather than a random span of time has already passed and she's just juggling her job and dealing with her life and multiple people who has passed on.
5/10.
Hyeri is still a great actress, the show runners/writers of this drama did not provide you with a good series to grow with.
Will watch her next drama...but this one I wouldn't really recommend.
