Ranjana Ami Ar Ashbona

No.. unlike the previous reviewer, I did not hate the lead actress, Parno. I think she looked cute, had the necessary vulnerability as well as the necessary attitude of the present generation. I loved Usashi. She looked sexy as hell, in her spectacles and wry smile. I loved all the 50+ rock musicians, especially Lew Hilt. And of course, I loved Anjan's self-portrayal of an aging, talented musician,with a multi-layered personality. What I did not like was the sad ending.. I mean.. I did not want to see anyone dying in this heart-warming film. Of course, the final scene was masterful and added to the pathos of the movie. The songs made me nostalgic and warm. The film is definitely a masterpiece. Not for the crowds, but for a mature audience, which can appreciate good music, good emoting and a plot which is as close to reality as can be.
