This is probably the most entertaining series about video game hunting that I've ever seen. When I first started watching it took me little while to really get into what it was all about and warm to the Chasers, but now it's one of my real YouTube favourites shows for sure. It primarily features brothers Billy, Jay and Melvin who always gets called "Melvor" and is usually operating the camera, as well as some of their other buddies as they travel all over visiting things like garage sales, flea markets, packed warehouses, as well as private dealers and collectors in search of video game related rarities, and it's just a lot of fun to watch, I find it makes for some pretty absorbing viewing. It's not a series that's about playing games at all really, it's much closer to reality tv, but all the guys seem like such down to earth cool people and the show has such a mellow and completely non-pretentious on-the-road vibe to it that I just love, it's a cool little show. Some of the guys are just about old enough to have lived through the arrival of the earliest home consoles and the heyday of arcade machines, and their main collecting interests are in the retro stuff and I can relate to that, as well as what it's like to be one of three brothers! I mostly love watching how everyone interacts and plays off each other, they laugh they bicker they fart, sometimes they even get seriously ticked off, but they're still bros! A lot of big and small surprises can come with cross-country game hunting, such as a well known instance when they visited a bridge that one of their friends used to sleep under during a period of homelessness, and the guy in question just breaks down and pours his heart out, and it was an amazing and touching moment in a show that you'd never expect one from, and it's the unexpected little things like that that makes me love a show like this. The main series focus is on their game expeditions, but they also do a lot of one-shot "minisodes" about all kinds of things like their personal top 10 favourite childhood toys, best and worst lists about movies and games they'd rent as kids, just funny stories and anecdotes and mini documentaries on things like Toys R Us and the 80s "Boglins" toyline! These guys are fun, frequently hilarious, likeable, and I love all of their output, and I think it's a great show to watch if you have an interest in retro game and toy collecting, keep up the great work Chasers cause you do it right!
