Norway's beloved, extraordinary comedienne Aud Schønemann re-creates her legendary stage role in this Norwegian version of Jack Popplewell's play "Busybody".
The plot: a janitor's wife discovers a dead body when walking rounds for her drunk husband. She calls the police but when the chief inspector (Arve Opsahl) arrives, the body is gone.
Despite the movie rarely leaving the scene of the crime, good direction and editing manages to conjure up some good scares, but the real enjoyment comes from watching Aud Schønemann in the greatest performance of her career. Had she been English this would have turned her into an international star, even her footwork is funny!
It takes great talent to make a comedy confined to a small space really work. "Skulle det dukke opp flere lik er det bare å ringe" (translated: If Any More Stiffs Should Appear, Give Us a Ring) is a testament to the sheer brilliance of Aud Schønemann.
