The Ascent (1994)

A Nice True Story, With Action and Romance in the War
31 January 2004
In a English camp of Italians and Germans prisoners of war in Africa commanded by English Major David Farrell (Ben Cross), Franco Distassi (Vincent Spano) is a rebel Italian who tried to escape five times from the camp. Major Farrel tried countless times to climb a mountain close to the camp, and wants to marry Patricia (played the gorgeous and wonderful English actress Rachel Ward). However, Patricia falls in love with Franco. Meanwhile, Enzo, another Italian prisoner and leader, decides to invite Franco to climb the mountain, put the Italian flag on the top and return to the camp, to elevate the moral of the Italian prisoners. Based on a true story, this movie is a good entertainment for the whole family. A good cast, with Ben Cross and Vincent Spano disputing a mountain and a very beautiful widow, Rachel Ward, sexy as usual. My vote is seven.
