Alive (2024 Video)
Low-key country music romance
3 October 2024
Victoria Voxxx is showcased in this okay Dorcel feature directed by Ricky Greenwood that doesn't overly impress, but provides a character-driven story by writer Maddy Burton.

Ricky was evidently inspired by Robert Altman's successful "Nashville" experiment, a hit 50 years ago -this time porn actors get to sing country music besides having sex on screen.

The story is old-hat: aspiring singer/songwriter Voxxx gets a break sponsored by former country singer Chad Alva, and scores a hit at a big party staged at his small-town bar. Success story has Chad's old pal Charles Dera showing up to sign her (and manage her) for his country music record label, and the film ends with, predictably, Chad and Victoria hooking up for sex.

Along the way Greenwood includes plenty of sex scenes, but they aren't adequately integrated into the story. For example, Valentina Nappi humps Isiah Maxwell in a hotel room next door to where Victoria is staying - otherwise not related at all to the rest of the movie. Trans star Ariel Demure pops up with a blonde hairdo, having sex with Victoria and three Gay Porn studs (Roman Todd, Dillon Diaz and Cliff Jensen), playing VV's old friends.

Voxxx has a pleasant voice and also sings a duet with Queenie Sateen, who has performed as a singer in previous porn releases. VV and Queenie also have an outdoor lesbian scene with Sophia Locke, who has a prominent role as a waitress at Chad's bar.

Greenwood keeps the musical numbers quite brief, emphasizing the sex footage and rather uninspired dialogue scenes instead.
