The direction by #PathikritBasu is not impressive at all. His narrative style is simple and linear. It tends mundane at times, and leaves a mon The screenplay & dialogues by #AritraBanerjee & #ArnabBhaumik is engaging, based upon a short story Dolgobindo Babur Chashmah by #DebaratiMukhopadhyay. The story itself is very niche and average.
#GopiBhagat being the cinematographer delivers an average output.
#MdKalam's editing is poorest to the core. The film could have been 10-15 minutes short.
Music Director #IndraadipDasgupta has tried to create some great music but in vain. The background score by Indraadip Dasgupta & #DiptarkaBose is not to be shouted about.
Costume Designer #RajarshiMukherjee & #AyanKumarHore has done a average job.
As per the performances are concerned, #MithunChakraborty as Parimal "Shastri" Sanyal was good, but nothing to shout about. He was looking weary and exhausted at times. #SohamChakraborty as Saikat Majumder, an astrophysicist looked smart, but again he has given better performances in his prior films. #DebashreeRoy as Sarala Sanyal, Parimal's wife, has tried her best, but couldnt deliver the impact on screen. #RajatavaDutta as Ramen Bagchi, the local leader was superb in his part and has got lot of shades. #AnirbanChakraborty as Dipu, Parimal's friend, has his moments and he has made his presence amply felt. #SaswataChatterjee as Madhab resembles the character played by Akshay Kumar in OMG ( with Mithun da playing as Paresh Rawal ) looked good, but again everyone, including him in this film was just casually playing their parts verbatimly. In one word, they didnt seem focussed on the plot. #KaushikSen as Rabi Shastri, a fake astrologer, tried to add some flavour to his role, but rendered dud. #SauraseniMaitra as Anuradha, Saikat's love interest, came as a trophy in her 2-3 scenes only. #AyushDas as Kaustav "Toton" Sanyal has made his presence felt in his brief role. This film has got some special appearances namely, #KanchanMallick, #AmbarishBhattacharya as opposition leader and #AbhijitGuha has played their parts fairly well.
Production by #Soham'sEntertainment, #SurinderFilms & #CreativeSolutionsPvtLtd respectively of producers Soham Chakraborty, #NispalSingh & #BajrangLalChuriwalahas made a poor film.
