Magnificently Moving
22 November 2024
The acting was superb. The story was well explained. You saw how the man lived and wrestled with the evil culture he found himself in.

You saw evil without much blood. They showed some violence but most was towards the main character so it shaped the man and the story. The violence and evil was not gratuitous.

You saw how the divine guided him to make the choices he did and his reasoning and his emotional and spiritual journey.

Everyone was moved at the end. I think everyone was thinking: What will be my response to evil now.

I liked how he had friends in Harlem and how his friends influenced his life. His cross cultural connections had a huge influence on how he responded to the face of evil.

He was a man of action over silence. And he reasoned out on the screen why his actions must be prioritized over his silence.
