Other than the names of the characters, this plot follows almost to a tee to "Jesse James Rides Again".
The attack and explosion of the oil derrick, and the gusher. Just doesn't have the added part of the oil byer, and the troubles of getting the oil to the refinery.
Liked the part at the end of the old.cowpoke trying to use crude oil in the kerosene lamp.
Good action scenes, but fairly predictable just as it's earlier movie. The cliffhangers are placed about the same, This is a need to watch movie for all fans of the old time western serials. Too bad it is so much like the Jesse James serial.
I guess Republic was running out of ideas to keep these types of movies going.
