Clearly the Chiefs poured a tonne of money into what is probably safely the most niche Hallmark Christmas movie of 2024. Probably means more if you're a Chiefs fan, but a slow start gave way to a sentimental finish centered around a beloved family football heirloom, and it's hard to argue that Tyler Hynes and Hunter King don't work well together.
What else? A Wes Brown cameo, some horrendous CGI and green screen work, a scene with people getting blotted on eggnog, Ed Begley Jr. In a touching role and a handful of cameos by Chiefs players and a cat that allegedly looks like Patrick Mahomes, who was himself absent from the film. As I said, quite a niche product.
Here's hoping Tyler Hynes and Hunter King star in something a little more mainstream next Christmas.
