Yesterday I saw a wonderful movie on the television. It is about a young woman from Mali, Fatou, living in Paris with her family. The family believed in the old tradition, so at 18 years old they forced the girl to marry a man. She refused and that was a scandal for the family. Fatou escaped to London, where she became a famous hair stylist. After three years she returns to Paris and realized that the shame that she had brought to the family had made the family splitting up, and now she tries (and manages) to get the family together again. Very touching and with good filming and good actors.
The actress is called Fatou N'Diaye. She and all the movie reminded me of Africa so much, so I had tears in my eyes all night when I watched the movie.
